I have a doe with a uterine infection. She kidded 3 weeks ago. My vet has prescribed tetracycline injections. Is it safe for her 2 bucklings to nurse while she is on them? If not, how long should I wait? Also, I cannot find info on the withdrawal period for injected tetracycline, only for topical. Does anyone know the withdrawal period for human consumption and, if necessary, for the bucklings? I don't like giving antibiotics at all, but my vet is concerned that this infection has been going on for this long.

Why not call your vet?

I have talked to my vet. While she is an excellent vet and we really like her, she is not holistic or organic in practice. I was looking for advice from that perspective.
