Anybody on here ever plant trees into a type 2 fairy ring (the dark green type)?

Last summer I had the end of a row of corn near a fairy ring and the last two corn plants in that row were deeply deeply green all summer compared to the others and they grew way bigger. But corn is basically a grass, so that's not too surprising, I guess. Out in the field where I never water, the fairy ring grass stays green all summer whereas the rest of the grass turns brown.

Also I heard there's a lab in my town using fairy ring fungus to to improve drought-tolerance in plants.

Anyhow, I have a few fairy rings and in the next week or so I'm going to plant some various trees into them and see what happens. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and what your experience has been.

Thanks,
Abe

pretty sure it's the type discussed here, although I haven't tasted it: https://missoulian.com/fairy-rings-folk-tales-and-fungus/article_877bfb8a-44b0-5e7c-8f5a-bf5519a5b41f.html

I think that should work great.

Do you know what type of mushrooms you have?
