My neighbor is moving and has given me three keets that are 4 days old. However, one of the keets is blind. It looks like it simply has its eyes closed, but never opens them. Any tips on what I can do to help this baby? I am considering banding the others and attaching small Christmas bells to them so the blind one can keep up. I have 3 acres but am afraid the others may not stay on property, leaving this little one defenseless.

Hi Judy and welcome to Permies.  I don't have any experience with Guinea Fowl, but hopefully this bump will help.  How's it making out?

Thanks for the bump.  Unfortunately, he didn't make it. He had many other problems besides just blindness. He was deformed in many other ways outwardly, and I'm pretty sure inwardly as well. The other two are doing great! They're demanding little Bottomless pits.

It definitely sucks.  I had to put down a quail chick today that wasn't going to make it despite trying my best.  I know it's best to minimize the suffering, but it's not fun.
