Hello ! I've planted a few months ago mustard, which is nicely going to seed. The idea was to improve the soil, however I might have been mistaken, as apparently I'd have needed to cut it before it went to flower.
However I'm going to harvest it soon, and I want to leave the
roots in the soil, so that they'll decompose and improve the soil structure. But then, another plot twist happened: apparently, brassicaceae roots leave chemicals in the soil that will inhibit other plant growth (from what I've read somewhere on the web).
So what the hell am I supposed to do ? Leave the roots, or pull them up ?
