Hi! I'm Ash.

I'm trying some small-scale gardening in the little yard at the house I'm renting in Denver. I'm also working on lots of SkIP stuff.

Who else is here?

Hi! Thanks for the link to skip and pep. I am in summit county and go to Denver (cheesman park) often to teach tennis (south ridge park) and piano (lakeside library) and my son goes to school in wheat ridge when he isn't remote learning. When we live there we live in a skoolie. Saving money for land, ya know.

Ash, hello!

New to the forum, less new to Denver.  Apartment-dweller near the 25-225 wye.  Up for talking shop, sharing ideas, and learning new things.  Probably up for kibitzing about the state of the gardens, too.

How're the projects progressing?
-Matt

Hey Emmy, Hey Matt!

I've just finished moving house across town, and am finally coming up for air again.

I'm game to grab a (proverbial) coffee and chat if you are. I'll PM you so we can figure out details.

Hi Ash!
I'm Gabi, a young permaculture-hopeful who grew up on a sustainable farm in the Midwest. My dream is to return to the Midwest and purchase my own land before I turn 30, in the meantime, I'm working and saving up money for that dream, which landed me in Denver. I've got tons of experience with farming and have been growing plants on my patio! I would love to meet some like minded people.
Good luck with your growing!

Hey Gabi! Welcome to Denver.

Growing up on a sustainable farm seems like it'd give you a big leg up. We should see if we can get all the near-Denver folks together to swap seeds or something.

Is that something y'all would be game for?

I would definitely be interested. When I lived in Detroit, we had a permaculture group that was pretty active and we did a lot of cool activities/learning sessions. Do you know if there's anything like that in Denver, and if not, I'd be happy to help begin one!

There's a permaculture guild in Denver and Boulder, but I've yet to pay them a visit.

I like the idea of banding together for visits, garden tours, and watching sepp holzer videos (and others, of course). When I get something figured out, I'll make a new thread, but add a link to it here.

Thanks for these links. I'm in Aurora and found this website earlier today on reddit.

Hey Folks!

The family and I are considering a relocation to Colorado from central Texas, so thought I'd hang out here a while and hear what everyone else is doing.
