We were beachcombing and grabbing oyster shells to grind up for the chickens as I hear people do.
There were a good amount of cuttlebones washed up as well. I remember having a cuttlebone treat for a pet cockateel as a kid. I thought if the chickens don't like them whole, they are probably way easier to grind up than oyster shells.
Anyone offer cuttlebones to their chickens? Or know of some reason they shouldn't have them?
I think it would be good for them if they're laying and it'll give them something to do, which is always a plus. Now you've got me wondering if I could find them here.
A piece of land is worth as much as the person farming it.
