What is the best way to go about treating bedsores or chronic/non-healing wounds with natural medicine?

I have thankfully never needed to treat bedsores personally.  My Peace Corps medical guide from back in the day said to fill bedsores with honey, or in the absence of honey with sugar paste.
 
keep an eye out for scorpions and black widows. But the tiny ads are safe.
