I have been hunting pumps for solar water heating and just found a really neat looking one that is on special for slightly less than 1/3 of its normal list getting it under $50(normal list is $150).   Magnetic drive so no shaft seals to fail.  24V DC so should convert to photovoltaic solar operation.(it comes with its own AC power supply to make the DC) and it is super quiet in operation.  Since all the wear components are inside the pump there are no external bearings etc to fail and it is brushless so no brushes to fail so it should be durable.  Plus stainless steel head.  And it is rated at 245 degree operating temperature.  Its original purpose was brewing but should be great for solar hot water and hydronic stuff.

24V DC magnetic drive pump
