There are a bunch of us working behind the scenes to finish the last aspects.

And so much of all of this stuff has been where it seems like it can go on forever creating thousands of BBs - so we have been saying a lot of "let's leave that for version 2" or "let's leave that for version 5" or even "let's leave that for version 1.1".   So the focus has been on getting to version 1.0 and having a really great version 1.0 - complete with a tip of that hat for future versions over the next ten years.

We have overhauled some badges to switch to points systems and then the minimum requirements grew to the point that the points stuff was no longer needed.

Over and over we overhauled badges.  We would get ideas about a whole new direction and would find ourselves starting over.  Months of work would be thrown out.

There are a few aspects where we have decided to not have an iron badge at this time.  And one (nest) where there will be no wood badge at this time.

Aspects that are now ready for version 1.0:

  - gardening
  - natural building
  - woodland care
  - roundwood woodworking
  - earthworks
  - dimensional lumber woodworking
  - rocket
  - food prep and preservation
  - animal care
  - foraging
  - community living
  - metalworking
  - plumbing and hot water
  - electricity
  - commerce
  - homesteading
  - oddball

Aspects that need a little more work:

  - tool care (iron)
  - textiles
  - greywater and willow feeders
  - natural medicine
  - nest

We have discovered that doing a good job with this stuff takes a huge amount of time.  At the same time, we feel like a lot of the stuff we have accomplished is amazing.   Such as how the sand and straw badges are 100% vegan friendly.  And within that, our strategies for dealing with aphids within the garden are for perennial, permaculture solutions - quickie organic solutions don't count.

The current plan is:

  - complete PEP
  - complete PEA
  - update the PEP book to be a magnificent SKIP book
  - prepare for the kickstarter
  - do the kickstarter
