I have a guinea with one heck of a will to live! He’s been attacked yet again by a dog down to the meat on his back, I’ve got him in a kennel on nesting with aluminum spray on his poor back with food and water and lync 500 in the water. Any other suggestions? He’s also in a heated bathroom alone so nothing else can get to him.

This happened to me a few years ago. Chicken vs dog. Can the bird reach the injury? Is it pecking at it?

With the chicken I sealed the wound with superglue. Probably not the greatest but saves me from going for emergency stitches 9/10 times.
The chicken did not accept this treatment, and spent the next week pecking away at the wound until it was all open and scabbed over. Some animals insist on cleaning their own wounds, some don’t.

If the wound is wet you could try diatomaceous earth to clot it and get it to scab. I usually just sprinkle it on, but you could also mix it into a paste.

You could also try feeding a higher protein diet to promote healing and cell regeneration
