Yeah, I'm still processing this one.

I'm trying to figure out if there is a cascade of irony and sarcasm gushing off the edges of that note like Niagara Falls.

But I suspect not. I have had dealings with RCMP members, and have always been impressed by their professionalism and the depth of their training. The old expression "what you give is what you get" applies. If you make nice, you get nice. If you don't, well, this is a highly capable paramilitary police force, and they can play "not nice" if needed.

I was in Law Enforcement.  Honestly it’s not unusual to be thanked like that.  At least in our small NW community. When treated with respect most people understand they have messed up and respond accordingly.

Sometimes we even changed a life for the better by bringing bad behavior to an end...or at least to someone’s attention,

All Law Enforcement are heroes.  Until you have done the job you have no idea.

Hurray for the RCMP and for the woman who had guts enough to say thank you.

I am with Janet on this one.   Ages ago, I worked in corrections .  It is not unusual to be thanked.

Though I must admit, the card is a special touch.
