Is there anything to grow around fruit trees to repel bugs and keep fruit free of them?

Depends on what pests the tree gets, not all kinds of bugs are repelled by the same plant. From what I have learned typically aromatic and herbal plants are used to repel. Such as mint & lavender. You could also plant something to try and attract bats and birds to eat the pests.
