My friend has offered to bring us a load of horse manure but they have the invasive snail Arianta arbustorum on their farm, which we luckily do not have - and do not want to have!!
I think the manure from horses on pasture is out of question, because the eggs probably survive the horse's digestive system?
However, do you think it would be safe to take their winter manure load? During winter the horses are stabled and do not get any green grass. What kind of risks do you see in this operation or do you see any risks? Of course the safest thing would be not to take any manure from this farm at all but... they are our friends, they have a problem and we could help...
