I am in the area covered by the Rustbelt fibershed. They had a big project in Cleveland growing flax. So far there is alot of harvested and stored flax, and some that had been hand processed. Here is a link: https://rustbeltfibershed.com/the-cleveland-flax-project

I have been keeping up with them on their plans for this and future years. They'd really like to have more people growing flax and try to find out more on bringing processing machinery to the USA.

I would personally love to grow flax. I haven't settled on an area but I'm planning on where would be good for a plot. Ideally letting the pigs prepare the ground before planting. I understand that harvesting needs to be done in a certain stage for the best fiber yield. I'm hoping to ask my local spinners and weavers guild if there would be interest from some people to come help harvest. Land I've got, time not so much!

Many thanks to r Ranson for all the work on the forums and the lovely book!
