Introducing new Permaculture Institute in NC and Affordable Weekend PDC

Just letting folks know about our new non-profit Permaculture Institute (www.weareallfarmers.org) on a pretty piece of land where the Appalachians meet the Piedmont in North Carolina. After running small-holding commercial organic farms for ten years, we chose to take that knowledge and combine it with a very hands-on permaculture, a commitment to taking permaculture into the community, and with a commitment to making permaculture affordable and accessible.

Our first PDC is this fall--and though we have filled two work-exchange and one scholarship/work exchange, we still have three of the latter left. Also, we give three free workshops to the community each year, and though we have one coming up in Knoxville, TN at the end of August, we have room for one more this year.

Look forward to being in touch with folks! Been working hard the last year to get this site ready--this is a unique opportunity for folks to see what is involved in taking on a challenged property from square one to permaculture.

Also, come on by to visit! We welcome contact in the larger permaculture community!

Hi Edward, I didn't see a link on the PDC info. Is this Wilkes/Alexander County? I am in Ashe and would like to know more.
Thanks,
Greg Hershner

I am very interested in the permaculture event you are doing in Knoxville, tn on 8/24 and 25, but I'm not sure of the location you listed. Can you post directions please?
