Hey everybody,

I'm a Canadian Community Design student with an interest in sustainable practices that's taken leave to live 'down under' for a year before taking up a professional lifestyle. My primary interest is in rural development and I joined permies so I could make plans for my future property and see how the ideas voiced here could be integrated into rural planning initiatives. I'm normally based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia but I'm living in Wellington, New Zealand right now and hope to be working in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia by spring of 2014. My interests include green buildings, agriculture, dogs, hunting and brewing.

Hi Jay.
I'm just down the road! I hope you don't have a damp, freezing house in Welly; the Canadians I've known here are always way colder than at home in Manitoba, or whatever
But we can grow stuff all winter. Yay!

I wasn't selected to go to mars. This tiny ad got in ahead of me:
