Also, I appreciate your enthusiasm, and I really hope you do find a solution to your HOA problems. I hope you find like-minded people with whom you can form a mutually beneficial group.
But HOAs can sometimes be sub-optimal. I think that I have heard them described more harshly hereabouts. I think one question anyone is going to want answered, after where in the world you are, is everything regarding the HOA. They probably, for instance, have a definition of what constitutes an appropriate building, and appropriate progress over time. They might also have rules about what your property has to look like. I hope not, though, but it's a big
enough problem in some areas that it's worth checking out.
