Hi to all,

For anybody who might know, do you recommend the feeding of Halophytes to cattle for their salt content? They have the ability to extract and 'sweat" salt.  Wondering if there are any real nutritional or digestive oddities to halophytes.

Also for people who are really good with soils, do virtually all soils contain some degree of NaCl?

Thanks for any help in advance. M

Oops sorry not done yet.  Would using halophytes be a good way to extract usable salt from urine?

You can try feeding it, and if the cattle need it they will go for it.
I would definitely recommend redmonds salt free choice. It is very difficult for cows to get all the minerals they need without giving free choice.
Greg Judy has some videos on youtube about his mineral program, and using apple cider vinegar mixed with salt for fly control.....
