Good morning!

I am in a pinch here. Can I use wheat straw as worm bedding? It would be mixed about 2:1 with shredded office paper (my usual bulk bedding) some compost and oak leaves. Should I shred the straw a bit maybe? I don't have enough bedding and the worms need to be refreshed. Running out of time on so many things here and straw is what I got.

I've never used straw but I do use leaves and the worms don't seem to mind.

New location. Zone 6b, acid soil, 30+ inches of water per year.
