I have a seldom used printer that won’t print. It has probably printed out 20 pages since I bought it probably 5 years ago. It is a laser. It scans OK. But it does not print or make copies. I put a fresh cartridge in it without results. To be clear, that cartridge was purchased the same time the printer was.
It is an Epson Workforce WF 7720
My thought is to invest in a new cartridge. Is there anything else I need to do?
Since it goes through the motions I'd say it's mechanically sound. You got the same results from the same aged cartridges. I'd say that investment for new cartridge would work.
However, I'd suggest if you're going to make that investment for just another 20 pages you might be better going to a business like Office Depot and have them printed.
I haven’t attempted yet. A new cartridge is 30 miles away, so when my shopping list gets full, I will go after it. I think my wife has a doctors appointment in a city 80 miles away early next week. I will go for it then.
