Chickens produce weird eggs all the time. There are pictures all over the internet of unusual chicken eggs. What I haven't seen are pictures of odd quail eggs, so this one from one of my hens was a bit of a surprise. It's huge! What's inside? Is it a reverse peristalsis contraction (egg in an egg)? Double yolk? I couldn't really tell, don't have much experience candling eggs, but there doesn't seem to be another shell. I'm about to crack it open and see!
... Three (3) yolks! Wow!
Anyone else have weird eggs, quail or otherwise, to share?
