Hello all!

Happy to have stumbled upon this site after about a year of research into an imaginary lifestyle which, as it happens, roughly aligns with our idea of permaculture. I've just left the city after six years of knowing that wasn't for me, but even as a young man with sufficient resources, a work ethic, and a drive to keep the moss from growing beneath his feet, the transition to a strain of adulthood that runs counter to our culture in so many ways is overwhelming.

I'm here to learn. I'm here to find actionable blueprints, ways I can take active steps toward this lifestyle. I've imagined engaging in something that resembles forest farming since long before I knew what forest farming was (let alone "regenerative farming"!), so that's the direction I'd like to head in.

Thank you all for providing and participating in this fascinating community/resource... I hope to make the transition from "consumer" to "producer" on these forums before too long!

Hi Jimmy! It's a pleasure to meet you.
Welcome, dive in, and glean as much as you can. As you develop your skills, please share your successes (and failures) with us. Failures aren't really failures if we learn something from them, and we often learn from each others' failures here. But we totally cheer on the successes!
