I recently stumbled on to Kris Harbour's amazing channel over on Youtube.

He has been living off grid for 5 years (at time of this video), using solar and hydro to power his house, his tool shed, and his wood / metal workshop.

Here I'll let this tour of his homestead do the talking ;
