Like minded permie parents in Southeastern PA?

I'm a 35 year old mom to an 11 year old who is trying to find like minded people nearby who also have children. I'm currently in the process of getting my PDC and have a lot of dreams and goals that I am working towards. We rent a house in the woods but am working towards buying land or an older house to fix up.  I have a background in architecture & construction and have dreamed of being a natural builder for the past 15 years but life is different as a mother. I can't go to week long workshops or travel, maybe when the kiddo is older. I would love to find some like minded families or single parents nearby to connect with. I of course welcome local connections without little ones too!! But would particularly like to relate to other parents...to bounce ideas off eachother, get together, dream of intentional communities...you name it!

Where you live the is probably a Garden Club that you could join.  Once a person becomes acquainted with the other member, it is easy to find ones that have kids.

What about your PDC class, is it online or in a classroom setting?

I always found parks to be a great place for me to meet families with kids.  Also ball games, etc.

Hi Sunny. My partner and I are renting in Berks County and are looking for some woods to move to more permanently, closer to Philadelphia. We don't have kids yet but plan to in the future. I had not heard of a Garden Club but I will look into that. Thank you! My PDC is online through the women's permaculture guild so not easy for meeting people but I have found a permaculture farm nearby that I will visit soon. Thanks for your suggestions!
