I have looked at Mat Walker's stuff, and a You Tube video showed up about a new model Liberator stove. These two very different routes have some appeal to me. I came here because I think this is where experts might post. Is the liberator a good stove?

Permies member Chris McClellan ("Uncle Mud") seems to think so. He has reviewed the Liberator, which is essentially a rocket stove as is and can be connected to a home-built thermal mass battery to make a rocket mass heater. If you need a UL/EPA approved installation for your insurance company, it would definitely be a fairly painless way to go.

Hey, sticks and stones baby. And maybe a wee mention of my stuff:
Heat your home with the twigs that naturally fall of the trees in your yard
