Hello all! We have a 6acre, small farm on the BX creek in Vernon BC (5 min drive to downtown) with a 1BDR for rent. We have been converting our property into a permaculture friendly working farm with bee hives, hugelkulters, 6,000+ garlic cloves, inter-plantings, alley-cropping, duck/chicken pest control and have begun work on a mixed food forest orchard. There are a few horses, ducks, chickens, cats and dogs that we indulge as well. We are losing our tenant of 4 years (she has bought her own farm - yay! but sad for us) who has been renting our suite and boarding her horse with us. We are hoping to find a new single person tenant who enjoys farm life and organic/permaculture style of farming. We are open to animals - depending on behaviour with livestock/poultry. The 1 bedroom is above ground, small ikea kitchen, full bathroom, large windows, small deck type area, shared firepit/creekbed beach (no w/d - she uses the laundromat downtown and our w/d when she had to do a load in a hurry). You are also free to use part of our large garden/field area for your own plantings - no chemical fertilizers or pesticides permitted tho 🙂. We are asking $900 includes all utilities/wifi.[size=12]
