Has anyone here made (or eaten) capers from daisy buds or another flower bud? I have heard/read about this in the past and meant to do it last year, but I never did. Ox-eye daisies grow all over my yard and other nearby places, and while I enjoy them, they are on the invasive species list here in Wisconsin. By picking the buds, I'd be helping to manage their population. Plus I love capers! I'd love to hear anyone else's experience with it, whether in the past or if you decide to try it this year!
That is a great idea for helping to remove those Ox-eye Daisies from your yard.
Capers can be made from Dandelions and Nasturtium buds, probably by using that same recipe.
I wonder if all flower buds can be made into capers? I bet the edible flowers can for sure.
