ID this vine plant - smallflower morning glory, Jacquemontia tamnifolia

This is the first year I've noticed it. One is growing out of a pot that has aloe in it. One is out in the garden. The other is in the rock mulch bed in front of our porch. So it is growing in well drained potting soil, garden soil, and soil that has a decent amount of clay.

Here you can see it is growing up the stem of a dead sunflower. Also, these are the flowers when closed up

I recognize this from when I lived in GA.....it's some kind of morning glory.

Yeah I got the answer on another forum. It is called smallflower morning glory or Jacquemontia tamnifolia.

I only found one source that said it had any edible properties. It said in Africa they use the leaves as cooked greens.
