Hello All!  First post here from a beginning grower.  I've recently dug some exploratory holes about 3 to 4 feet deep around my property and have found that all of them have groundwater in the bottom, some more, some less.  I suspect it is because of a layer of fragipan that the usda soil survey says I am competing against.  Is there any way to immediately improve drainage in these holes, say by penetrating the fragipan?  Would I be able to do so with an electric auger?  Thanks for the help!

Here's some research on remediation using annual rye grass and soybean.  However the research was dealing with 1 to two feet deep fragipan.

I didn't do it. You can't prove it. Nobody saw me. The sheep are lying! This tiny ad is my witness!
