If they could I would think about playing plastic beneath them and shaking them and laying to dry like raisins. Thoughts? They prolly need greens and and mix of things to go with it. Like plaintain and giant ragweed right?
I gave my chickens some autumn olives for the first time the past winter and they loved them. In order not to spread the seeds, I boiled the fruits before hand.
Usually the wild autumn olives bushes are so loaded with fruits that I am able to glean several pounds in a short time.
Zone 6, 45 inches precipitation, hard clay soil
