I am recently getting some chickens, mainly due to the rising price of eggs... The price of feed is also going up. In the summer and spring the chickens hardly need feed if they have enough area to roam, but in the winter it is necessary. What is the best thing to grow on a small scale, with the highest yields, to be able to store and feed chickens over the winter? Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated!
