Who is familiar w natural pools or native aquatic plants (Southeast Alabama)?
I want a natural pool when we have more space, but for now I am thinking about experimenting w 2 above ground pools of this size side by side, 1 for the regeneration zone and 1 for the swimming pool.
I know how to make little floating plant islands, I don’t know where to get native aquatic plants except for taking them from the wild which I know is not ideal. I do have native lizards tail already but I’d like others like cattail and duck potato.
Also just unsure if this concept can work, I am thinking place 1 pump to move water from swimming area to plant area and 1 pump to move it back. Any pump recommendations for this size?
I realize with only 2’ depth I will likely still get some algae. I’m not trying to keep fish in here, but I guess w enough filtration plants that might be possible too.

I think you have missed the point about why natural swimming pools are natural.
I cannot see how one can be replicated as you have suggested.

But man got to the moon, with women mathematicians so good luck.
