Hello, I have a Patriot P5 electric fence energizer and am running into an issue with using it to contain my American Guinea Hogs. I've noted that the pulse on this seems very slow and my hogs can nose the thing for what seems like seconds without any shock. Did I buy the wrong energizer? Do you guys have recommendations for an energizer with a faster pulse to it? Thank you for your help!

As long as they learn to fear it, you should be fine.  If they aren’t learning, put them in a smaller area with a small section of fence and some of their favorite feed on the other side.  Wet the soil and make sure you have the recommended number of ground rods. That failing, you can get one of the small yard chargers with continuous current just for training purposes on the small fence.  The Patriot should hold them after training.  Make sure the two chargers don’t end up on the same fence.
