Hey there,

I've been posting a lot of questions lately about natural building because I am working toward building a small home for my young adult son here on the farm.  I think I've got the big and important stuff sorted as far as design goes - at least the big and important that needs to be sorted this early in planning.  And now, I've started a GFM to help pay for it all.  It was super hard to be this vulnerable.  My heart is constantly in my throat when I share.

In case you'd like to take a look, share, or contribute, here is the link.

Later, I'll be asking around to see if anyone would like to come and help with the build.  Kind of The House that Love Built.

Thanks heaps!

I followed your link as a sceptical person, and was surprised at what you are trying to achieve. I hope many people will help you.

So it's been several weeks since I posted about Nick's fundraiser and thought it was about time for an update.  We've raised just over half the goal.  I'm trying to raise enough for a down payment on a construction loan.  I've reached out to a handful of folks involved in natural building projects here in the Northeast about hiring them to help with design and materials and building.  So far, no responses, which is disappointing.

But I am pressing on.  Thanks to the nice folks here, I'm working through various aspects of the design - deciding what I want and what I think probably will work OK.

Anyway, we're over the hump.  Nick is struggling where he is and his waiver is set to run out next month.  We're hoping for a follow on placement for additional treatments and to hold us over until we can finish fundraising and get building underway.

Thanks so much to anyone here who has seen the link and either shared or donated!
