Today was a day at the Abbey...

I also love all the signage here at Wheaton Labs. It's such an efficient way to convey information to the swaths of people who come through.

Just as I enjoy the signage at wheaton labs, I similarly enjoy the fridge magnets

One of my son's favorite videos is of the log gate. He kept saying, "Dad, I'm surprised a kid like me can move this thing!"

Part of the purpose of the trip was to show my son Wheaton Labs. He loves the videos, and he loved getting to see everything (and everyone) in person.

Or first night there, Arthur loved the idea of helping with the cherry prep, and pitted a whole bowl of 'em. Clayton was kind enough to cede the pitting station in exchange for the help.

My son's other favorite things about our visit:

- Climbing all over the hugels and scaffolding (mostly barefoot)
- Meeting and naming the kittens
- Of course, getting to meet Paul in person

My son still tells stories of when he first met Paul, over a year and a half ago (my son is only 6). Meeting the illustious Paul is not an occasion that is easily forgotten!

It's good to be back

BB20 is going! Folks are hugeling, chopping, and dropping!

It was a good trip.

I've never been here in the spring. Everything is so lush, green, and verdant!

Things keep getting done, new maps are around, and the Solarium looks amazing.

Malik made a sign for my bench! And then he made a better bench near it from the same tree.

I'm glad that tree has been able to become so many things after falling.

Liv gave us Beef! And Butter! They're both delicious!

And there's a goose here!

I see one Toulouse goose and three adorable goslings!!! SO CUTE!!!

Oops! I guess there's only one goose.

Today I sharpened a chainsaw, I cleaned the shop... A lot. In a bit I'm hoping to clean, oil, and sharpen a shovel.

And also the stars from last night deserve a post:

Today I peeled one of the trees that fell during the winter windstorm.

I cut my thumb on the chainsaw, but not in the way you'd think... I was too hasty in putting on the guard and pushed my thumb right onto a tooth. Oops. All is better, now

Problems with my eczema means I need to take it easy my last day here, which is too bad. But! It means I can enjoy the lovely things going on inside the fisher price house.
