I came across this awesome diy, in my email, today, and I'm so excited to try building one! Wooden cigar boxes are easy to find, and cheap - and I have a couple on hand, that might work well. It would be awesome to not only spin my own yarn, but also my own thread - without the expense of buying (yet another) spinning wheel,  and there's a pdf of the plans for it: https://spinoffmagazine.com/cigar-box-charkha/

Another advantage to building your own, is that as you build it, you learn how everything works, which makes learning how to use it easier, too.

I agree. Here's the link: http://stoves2.com
