Hi, I'm trying to build a temporary pergola like structure on my concrete driveway. I would like to do it 'bushcraft' style using round timber from my backyard.

Desired dimensions: 12'x8'x8'

I'm building it for the Jewish Holiday of Sukkot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukkot where we make temporary tent/hut like structures and spend time in them with family for 1 week out of the year.

I'm trying to avoid building a full log cabin, and just making a temporary structure I can put up and tear down each year.

I haven't found much online regarding how to secure the beams without digging holes into ground, or securing into the concrete.

I would like to build something that is strong and safe but very temporary.

I started with using two vertical poles in cinderblocks with horizontal logs stacked in between, however I don't have enough long straight poles and this is getting very heavy as I stack it up.

I'm trying to build something like this pergola but enclosed.

If your basic wall structure is braced, IE Triangulated it will be free standing.
