Hey folks,

forgive me, if this topic has already been discussed, I did a quick search and could not find an answer to my question.

Originally, I had intended to gift the free heat movie from the kickstarter reward to a friend. I found out, this is not possible. So I tried to buy the movie as a gift.

My question: I wanted to pay via credit card (just like with kickstarter). But there is only processing via Paypal. Yes, I understand, I do not need an account with Paypal, they are processing the credit card payment, only. But Paypal is a bad guy out there (even trying to fine people for a "wrong opinion") and I would rather not give my data to them or support their business in any way.

Is there another possibility for credit card payments?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Christine,

Here are some other ways you can pay, but they take more work, so there is a $10 manual processing fee:

You've all probably done your research on the other options and their fees, but here are some ideas if you haven't already seen them.

I hate PayPal and they want to charge you 2500 dollars for wrong think. They scrapped it now because the time isn't right because they faced backlash but they or someone else will try something similar later.

Here are the options I can think of quickly:

Gumroad
Stripe
Square
List the items on eBay
Make a woocommerce/big commerce store or a shopify store
Sell the items on Amazon, especially if you already have a seller account and pay the $40 per month.

Nobody likes fees but take away the money and you take away the tyrants power.

This list should provide a suitable alternative payment processor to PayPal.

#4 Revere payments may match or beat what you guys are paying for PayPal. The fees are low according to reclaim the net.

There were millions of the little blood suckers. But thanks to this tiny ad, I wasn't bitten once.
