- we are emphatic about permaculture being a powerful agent of postive global transformation
- we believe that these concepts, this paradigm, is so attractive that when people get tasted up, they will want more.  (hey, that's what happened to us.)
- different people need to get tasted up in different ways. and, statistically speaking, most people need to see something more than a dozen times before it registers as something they might want to grant some of their limited brain-space to.
- it is not about the kickstarter campaign, itself.  kickstarter is a useful and effective tool in reaching new people with these concepts.  we reach more new people through our kickstarter campaigns than we do with any other single permies endeavor.
- it is about the kickstarter campaign, itself.  permies runs deeply in the red, every year, and kickstarter is our primary fiscal action, serving to under-write free, year-round operation of this completely free resource, available to all.
- it's fun!  it's like a party, and we wanna invite all our friends.  rsvp here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/paulwheaton/garden-master?ref=ckvoa1

I awoke this morning with a powerful urge to be unequivocally unapologetic about what we do and why we do it.  People come to permies for a lot of reasons, but most of us share the belief that all of the world's problems can be solved in a garden.  That's why we homestead, grow, experiment, talk endlessly about these things - because they bring us life, connect us to life, and connect us to one another.  I will push push push against the seemingly unmovable status quo.  Once in a while, it budges.  Once in a great while, it gives up its long-held, deeply entrenched ground.  And maybe, if we move together and let go of the petty and insignificant stuff, the world will see some brightening, biodiversification, soil retention, ecosystemic detoxification.  Maybe humanity will put down its shiny fixations and amusements and remember our deep under-girding interconnectedness with the world around us.

I agree. Here's the link: https://richsoil.com/wood-heat.jsp
