Hello-new to the site-if I can figure how to post a pic here i will show you an old scythe blade I've had stored indoors for years. I gather folks do use them but I'm not familiar w/this style blade. If it's of interest to someone, let me know/make an offer an maybe I can see what it costs to ship from Mid Mo. I have no use for it-would be nice to see it get into someones hands that can find use. The only words I can make out on it are: J(?) WALDR(?) and then BESTCROW___.

I know this is a bit of an old thread but I only check the forums occasionally and I have an answer to this one. That's not a scythe blade, but rather it's an English-style hay knife used for cutting portions from a loose stack after it's settled. The handle must have cracked and fallen off. They work, but not nearly as well as the "lightning" hay knife style originally developed by Hiram Holt of Maine.
