I'm doing a lot of outside work after dark on a property that has no electricity.
My battery tools include a nice lantern flashlight, but  I want to save batteries for the power tools.
It occurred to me that I often have oil that isn't edible by me or my chickens.
It is usually animal , but can be vegetable or mineral.
The "burn anything" oil lamps I know of are homemade jobs not suitable for jobsite use.
That being said, I know very little about oil lamps!

Is there an oil lamp that will run on leftover oils and stay lit in mild to moderate wind?

Ah, thank you for the suggestion!

As it turns out there are mantle lamps that will run on diesel.
I think these will be close to what I'm looking for.
The Sea Anchor 950 is an example that keeps popping up.
They won't burn "anything" but they should burn anything that can pass as diesel, and that's quite a range.

Meanwhile I came across some lantern enthusiast's who were thinking along the same lines:

But why do you have six abraham lincolns? Is this tiny ad a clone too?
