Hello fellow permies!
I hope all is going well! We are embarking on a journey in the midwest after being on the East coast for a year.
Nobody likes to be hit up for their goods but at the same time, community is all we have in a society that is busting at its seams. I am in my early twenties, I have an opportunity to change the notion that our generation is Effed to one that has opportunity, is resourceful and can build something that is lasting for future generations.
So, this
project is completely grassroots. We have been offered more than we could ever ask for, acres of
land to do
permaculture, to build a community.
We know this exists already but our hopes are to create another hub for
permaculture, another resource for education, food, etc. The more the merrier, right? Yes!
So, I'm putting this out into the universe, into cyber world, and the permies forum. In hope to get feedback and resouces from some good folks.
At the moment I am living in Chicago, I would like to make the move sometime to Michigan in March.
I am asking for your help.
If you can donate something, please let me know.
Eventually we would like this to become an organization.
As so much has been offered to us already, more specifically we need the use of
A
Car: doesn't have to be fancy but something to get us from Chicago to Michigan, and maybe haul materials around but as permies we would be using this very little and just as a tool for the greater vision.
Seeds/Trees: Maybe you have some seeds or access to
trees that you would like to donate, we can continue this conversation, but we have a few hearty greens but would like to grow our seed database
Giving up a car may seem like a lot but please if you can part with one, we could work something out, we have an opportunity to be stewards of many resources of the land and no act of kindness goes unnoticed.
