Greetings Permies!

It's so wonderful to have the opportunity to write to you all today!  Tis' the season! With that said, I am Angyl and new to Permies.com but have been reading as much as I could and must say :

THANK YOU!

I have been so encouraged by reading of so many post that I thought I would try one of my own!

Off The Grid experience - without the headache of all the cost!!!

I own 2.6 acres of A2 farmland located in Southern California's high desert foothills North of Wrightwood.  I have built some private access and even a greenhouse on the property.
I actually manage 3 other parcels in this track of land and am anxious to keep it natural as possible!
Water is from a 5000 gallon reservoir tank and we have delivery as often as we need it.  We bring in our own drinking water too.  I had a F250 super duty that held a 330 gallon tank and there is a water filling station not 10miles away for 5cents per gallon.  But that broke down last year, doh!

I have been trying to get something going out here off the grid and been comfortable with my solar setup, even in the heat of summer!
However, a series of unfortunate events cost me a lot of downtime and I am taking on on another land purchase and don't want to leave this property unattended while I'm away.  This may suit a longer staying travelers and we can talk about that option.

I know Southern California can be hostile to travelers and with some city's banning sleeping in a vehicle, it can be a real struggle for some folks, especially during the  holidays!

There may not be room at the Holiday Inn?
But our Savior was born in a Manger!
What better way to share this Christmas story then to offer the same Sanctuary!
Are you a wise man following that sacred star?

NOEL!!

If you are passing through and need a safe spot, please feel free to reach out!  I will work out any cost on a case by case basis as I'm sure different folks have different needs! Let's just say $25  per person per night +1 Vehical or trailer no longer than 30 feet. I've got a toy hauler that's 38' and that was a pain to get in here. But I shoehorned  in in here no problems. Vannites are welcome.
You can have fire in a burn barrel no problem,  just burn wood and not trash please. No plastic!
If you brought it in, Please Pack It Out!

I am dealing with previous renters that turned this once untouched and beautiful land into a garbage dump so I apologize if that sounds angry lol!

We have had contractor chemical toilet contracts and they came every 2 weeks to clean and restock the paper but I've canceled that service over a year ago when I took over the management of the site next door.  There was no need but I could however renue my contract for a chemical toilet service if it was required for long term guest without facilities.

There is a 130' × 40 foot wooden greenhouse has fallen into disrepair. I would be great to get that fixed up!

I have Solar Powered CCTV and WiFi on this property.  There is cellular service however if needed you donations could include use of the Wi-Fi with reasonable usage of course.

If you are interested in solar for your mobile setup I can help out with some suggestions or even share my build information just indicate what your plans are and if you need my help in that department.

Oh yes!  Sanctuary being what it is, please refrain from being loud or playing loud music, loud conversation or arguments are better suited to other accommodations at other sites.  Come in peace and leave from here peaceful!  Leave your fireworks and licensed firearms in your proper secured places and please don't take them out while on site.

I have animals here, Dogs , Cats, Chickens, and they are free range as we have no fences so I try and keep things as tranquil as possible.

I kinda just threw this together so I hope it all makes sense!

Thank you and God Bless your Holiday season
Thank You Veterans for your service!

Sincerely Yours,
Angyl
