I just read this article on how Japanese rice farmers use ducks to patrol the rice paddies, and how one enterprising Vermont farmer adapted the technique to his farm.

Today I was telling my husband that New England has become a surprising hot-spot for rice-growing. It makes sense that the tips and tricks used in traditional rice-cultivation would catch on among the holistic farmers there. Bravo! This is encouraging, thanks so much for sharing.
