About five years ago we got a diaper sprayer and hooked it up next to the toilet. It was some brand bought off of Amazon. That sprayer worked perfectly up until about a month ago, when I noticed drips on the floor. I tightened up all the joints several times, but the drip seemed to get worse. Last Saturday I investigated in earnest and discovered a hairline crack in the stainless steel body of the diversion valve. My wife went on Amazon to see if we could buy a replacement valve, but it looks like that brand has gone dormant, everything is out of stock. So I asked google for diaper sprayer reviews, and that just listed various brands on Amazon. So then I searched for "diaper sprayer tvalve" and it sent me to Potty Pail.com

Specifically, it sent me to their parts page. They make complete diaper sprayers, in the USA, with a lifetime warranty. But they also sell their parts. They say that their valve has a 1/4" NPT fitting that accepts almost all aftermarket sink sprayers. So I am going to check the sprayer that I have to see if it will fit. If it will, I will give their adapter and valve a try.

Depending on the location, it may be repairable (if it's worth the effort). Around threads,  a little teflon tape (ptui!) works. On the inside of a metal part, JB weld is remarkably good.

Though if you repair it, you may want to cut off pressure when it's not in use. A flood is not an effective way to save money.

JB Weld is a good idea. I checked the thread and the sprayer hose that I have won't work with Potty Pail's adapter. So I ended up buying Potty Pail's entire sprayer system. I will put JB weld on the old one and see if I can make use of it elsewhere. Maybe in an outdoor kitchen someday.

I give this diaper sprayer 10 out of 10 Acorns. I've had my PottyPail.com Diaper Sprayer for over a year now and I am very happy with it. We haven't used it for diapers much. But it has been very handy for rinsing out soiled clothes. Our bathroom is right off the kitchen, so sometimes we dump fatty or oily messes down the toilet. So we use the sprayer to clean that up as well. At this point, it is hard for me to imagine life without a sprayer on my toilet.

When I emailed Brian, the creator, I discovered that he lives right across the river from me in Portland, Oregon. He said, "As long as you don't try any custom repairs or adaptations before you talk to me, I will guarantee your sprayer for life or as long as I can keep my health."

Look! I laid an egg! Why does it smell like that? Tiny ad, does this smell weird to you?
