Just popping my head in to provide the obligatory formal introduction. The pressure to say something sparklingly brilliant is always so intense at times like these...

I'm rather afraid I'll have to disappoint, and just go with the real me!

I'm a (currently displaced!) farm girl, born and raised. My dad was part of the early '80s ginseng movement in South-Western Ontario, which...has given way to a beast all its own, and entirely unrecognizable from the format in which I knew it. I'm looking, and very much hoping, to connect with some like-minded individuals, share a little, learn a lot, and begin a grass-roots revolution of some sort, even if it's only ever played out in my own back yard.

And do rest assured, there's going to be a back yard revolution of some sort at my address!

Looking forward to engaging with you all.

V.

welcome, Virginia. we're glad to have you aboard.

I have a personal affection for those whose revolutionary ideas extend only as far as their own yard. from my point of view, it's the folks who really want to make a splash that are more likely to cause problems. small is beautiful, as Mr. Schumacher said.
