Our chicken's right eye has gone very red and swollen and it foaming (clear bubbles). Her left eye is totally clear. Is it possible she was attacked by another bird? What can I do for her?

She is the only bird in our flock that is also a pet so we would love to see her better!

She does also have a mild sneeze but I assumed the two things were unrelated. Her energy is high and her behaviour is normal.

Hi!

I have the same problem i think, with my easter egger. your description sounds right on, except the bad eye on my hen is the left eye. I will post pics.

Advice? What ended up happening?

Thanks!

Hows the chicken doing? I'm a total novice, but I work in the health food industry. I've used this stuff Dr. Christopher's Eyebright to heal eye infections in my dogs, and myself before. I don't know if it will help, or if it will hurt a chicken, but if you have a co-op near by they more then likely have it.

If you like strawberry rhubarb pie, try blueberry rhubarb (bluebarb) pie. And try this tiny ad:
