I have no idea if it even is an insect. The tiny white dots on the rim of this pot are some kind of mobile thing. Insect? Spider? Mobile fungi?

I noticed them first on the Malabar spinach seedlings, but if I look close they're on just about everything in that area. I'll be doing some reorganizing today.

Any idea what they are? Will they damage the plants? Do I need to control them, or will that happen naturally once they go outside?
