Sorry if this is a repost. I cant  find my last post and am technologically challenged. We were excited to discover this exists in the very place we live! Could my husband and I do a week long boot camp but go home each night to sleep since we have kids at home?

DISCLAIMER: It's been a few years since I helped manage Bootcamp and the SEPPer program, so you'll definitely want input from someone more knowledgeable! These are just the thoughts that come to mind and might help.

If I remember correctly, Wheaton Labs is less than an hour drive from Missoula. I went and looked at the Bootcamp website, and this seems to be the daily schedule:

7:00am – Everybody starts making breakfast.
7:50am – Tummies are full and kitchen is clean.
   8:00am – Morning work begins.
   Noon – Everybody makes lunch.
12:50pm – Tummies are re-filled and kitchen is once again, clean.
   1:00pm – Afternoon work begins.
5:00pm – Everybody starts making dinner.
7:00pm – Dinner is complete and kitchen is fabulously, spotlessly clean.
   9:30pm - 6am – All quiet for sleepy time.

7am-7pm is a long day, especially with a 45 minute drive! But, if you're not eating there for breakfast and dinner, maybe Paul would be okay with you starting at 8:00am and end at 5:00pm?

Maybe a better option would be some sort of modified SEPPer program, where maybe you pay the $100 for the Bootcamp fee and join in the Bootcamp as much as you're able, and then head home to be with your kids?

Also, I think Bootcamp a two-week minimum thing (I just noticed that the website says "Come for just a week... or stay for a while!" But I think we just didn't update that when Paul switched to a 2-week minimum stay? Or my memory is foggy). I'm pretty sure Paul switched to two-week minimum because it takes so much back and forth to arrange stays, and it's hard on the long-term Boots to have someone come for a week and then leave.

Another option might be coming to one of the BB20 events. These are often free for anyone who's done 20 "badge bits", and it looks like the next one is April 24-28th. You'll need 20 BB ("Badge Bits") done, but there's quite a few easy ones out there! (There's some suggestions for easy BBs in this thread: https://permies.com/t/146515/Badge-Bits-BB-easiest-Apple)

I agree. Here's the link: http://stoves2.com
