At 5000ft elevation in NV, I'd like to develop a larger ( more than 10) serviceberry crop for berry production as a trial.
Anyone have experience?
I'm near Battle Mountain.
or if there's another berry to consider, please say.
I have golden currants already.
thanks.

There are native varieties of serviceberries growing wild all over northern Utah and Nevada.

I observe that those growing in moister conditions produce more and larger berries. Adding boomerang swales around trees in the badlands may increase production.

Saskatoons do well at my high desert location. Honeyberries are also a producer. The Honeyberries are the first plant to bloom in my yard. Both are readibly propogated by cuttings.
